Trade Parks and Centres are now a recognised sector in the property market place, and continue to mature. The first purpose built Trade Park was developed in 1999 in Mitcham, Surrey and subsequent schemes have offered purpose built units for trade occupiers, as opposed to Parks born out of accessible industrial estates colonised by the trade occupier.

Often we see the Trade Centre and Park name attached to unremarkable standard industrial estates devoid of the key characteristics of Trade Parks and Centres - perhaps in the hope of attracting the stars of the trade market.
