There is no “Trade Park Use” in planning terms. Trade Centres and Parks are generally accepted as an employment use falling within B8 use of the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order under Wholesale Warehouse. The core B8 activity can be accompanied, subject to planning, by varying percentages of ancillary uses based on floor area or activity.
Further, specific uses can be listed as part of the consent deemed to be acceptable. Some Trade occupiers use is not fully catered for by the overall planning consent gained for a development. They require a specific consent for their use, Sui Generis, a term which refers to a use on its own not falling within a specified class within the Use Classes Order. Increasingly Sui Generis Consent is sought.
